Your tasks

  • Develop and design fibre-reinforced composite components with bionic fibre architecture.
  • Design tools and fixtures to produce fibre composite and plastic components.
  • Produce and further develop prototypes using fibre composite and plastics engineering processes, such as gantry-based fibre placement, 3D printing, forming, consolidation and injection moulding.
  • Prepare, support and execute trials in plastics engineering, particularly in injection moulding and the hybridisation of fibre composite structures.
  • Further develop and optimise prototype systems for fibre placement, plastics processing and the automated production of fibre composite components.
  • Work closely with the team to develop and advance new concepts and technical solutions.

Your profile

  • You have completed, or are currently pursuing, a technical education or degree related to fibre composites, plastics engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering or lightweight design, for example at HTL level or as part of a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • You have experience working with CAD software.
  • You enjoy developing new ideas and concepts independently and driving them forward together with a team.
  • You enjoy hands-on engineering and want to do more than design on a screen: you also want to see your ideas tested, implemented and improved.
  • You feel at ease in a dynamic start-up environment and can adapt flexibly to new situations and challenges.
  • Your interest and enthusiasm for innovative technologies, lightweight design and new manufacturing processes complete your profile.
